swimming in the zeller see lake
The perfect place to cool off on hot summer days
Summers can get pretty hot in Saalbach Hinterglemm, so what better than a dip in the beautiful Zeller See lake? We recommend the northern shore next to the hospital in Zell. Don't worry, the lake is safe and has no strong currents or deep sections. The flat shoreline is excellent for families with children. In summer the water in the lake is generally around 20°C and can reach up to 24°C. One of the main highlights, apart from the lake itself, is the spectacular view of the lush meadows above and even the glaciers of the Hohe Tauern in the distance. The pretty village of Zell am See is just 20 minutes by car from the Rosentalerhof. Admission to the lake is free of charge. Facilities include a beach volleyball court.
Info: free admission, just 20 minutes by car from the hotel.
Important! There are only a few parking spaces available close to the lake.
Hiking at the Hochkogel mountain
The hike up to the top of the 2249-metre-high Hochkogel mountain is a challenge for experienced hikers. Spectacular views at the top are the reward for all that hard work.
Sunrise hike to the Tristkogel
There are few experiences like watching the sun rise from the top of a mountain. At the Rosentalerhof you have the chance to do exactly that in the company of a trained mountain guide.
