fresh fish from the alps

Bärenbach is a hotspot for fishing enthusiasts

Guest staying in one of our apartments have the unique opportunity to catch their own fish for dinner!

The Angelteich Bärenbach pond in Saalbach is home to a range of fish, so all that stands between you and a delicious fish supper is a rod, a hook and a little patience.

Once you have caught your fish, it is time to head back to your apartment and get it ready to it. We recommend "Forelle Müllerin", a trout dish which involves gutting the fish, adding salt and pepper and covering it in flour. The fish is then placed into a hot pan and fried until golden brown. Serve with a wedge of lemon and potatoes.

A visit to the fishpond is a relaxing and enjoyable experience for guests of all ages.

Info: The pond is just two kilometres from our hotel and can be easily reached by car.
